After graduating from Grissom, I received my bachelor of science in biology from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta in 1996. I received my Master of Science in Molecular Physiology and Biophysics from Vanderbilt University in 1998, and was awarded a PhD in Neurobiology and Physiology from Northwestern University in April of 2003. Since graduating, I have been a medical writer for two medical education/communications companies and currently work as an internal medical and scientific consultant at a healthcare advertising agency. I also provide freelance science/technical writing for various academic and biotechnology clients. James and I were married in September 2001. We recently escaped the 'burbs and live in a Chicago bungalow with our son Colin and James' son, Liam.
