Chemical X Causes Twitterpation
Parker has his first crush...Blossom from the Powerpuff Girls. I don't know what is is...must be that long red hair and hypnotic large eyes. But he can't take his hands off the doll.

But can Brandy Fight Terrorists?
While watching 24 the other day, apparently the new interns at our local Fox affiliate turned off the shows sound and activated their in studio mike. Although I couldn't hear how Jack plans to find out where his family is, I did hear all about breast augmentation surgery and how Brandy, the new intern, will one day do the weather. Thanks to closed captioning, we were able to see what was happening on the show plot-wise. And it was kind of funny watching Senator Palmer talk into a cell phone explaining how the batteries were just changed...

Went to Middle Earth
Finally saw Lord of the Rings this weekend...well worth the wait. Parker had his first babysitter. Although I was anxious at first and found it really hard to leave, Kristin was the exact opposite. And everything went well, except for the ignorant cuss behind us who yelled out "Well, that sucked!" when Gandalf fell into Khazad-dum.

Four Month Appointment
So, yesterday was Parker's 4 month doctor's appointment. He's doing great, 17 lbs. 2 oz., 24.75" long, head circumference of 42.5" (90%, 50%, 50% respectively). I made the mistake (apparently) of asking how much sleep a baby his age needs, since he's had problems with the whole nap thing, and he proceeded to give us unasked-for parenting tips to get baby to sleep in another room. Pissed me off. Eurocentric, make an infant immediately individually self-sufficient, IMO non-nutritive stance. Needless to say, I ignored it.
