Another round of Ashley's This or That
1. Do you answer the phone on the first ring? Yes or no?
I used to ... now I pray it won't ring. Either because Parker is sleeping, or I'm nursing him, or I'm just to dang lazy to get it.
2. Which is worse: door-to-door salesmen or telemarketers?
Telemarketers. You can always get rid of door-to-door guys pretty easy, and they are few and far between.
3. Which is worse: the phone company or the oil company?
If you refer to the oil company as crude oil and thus gas for our cars, definitely them. Otherwise, I'll have to say phone, since our house is completely electric.
4. Cordless phone, cellular phone, or corded phone?
Cordless ... now that I've got one (thanks, sis!!), I can't imagine being tied down to a phone. Cellular is fine, but can't afford the extra expense right now.
5. Phone number: write it down or remember it?
I'm actually really good at remembering numbers, but even I prefer to write them down.
6. When you tell a date, "I'll call you", do you mean it? Yes or no?
No. I wouldn't mean it. If I really did want to talk to someone, I'd give him my number.
7. Do you own one phone? Two? Three? More?
We have 3 phones hooked up, only one line. We also have two more phones in the garage not in use.
8. Have you purchased anything by phone? Yes or no?
I wouldn't doubt it. I can't remember anything though.
9. Have you ever called someone and then hung up before you spoke? Yes or no?
Yep. Long distance even. Let me clarify ... transcontinental even. From a pay phone in Germany to someone's house in Tampa, Florida.
10. Do you own an answering machine?
Yes. And I faithfully stare at it expecting it to blink. It doesn't.
