4th of July, 2002
Just back from July 4th weekend (yes, it took a full Monday to recover). Some revelations made during the weekend:
1. A restaurant salad is not a salad without a cucumber.
2. Dozens of the same channel are a good thing... you get to see Double Dare 24-7 and the entire skipped season of Stargate during the transition from Showtime to SciFi.
3. VCRS that eschewed having control on the machine and only on a remote control for design aesthetics really bites when one can't find the remote, making three tapes of Stargate strecth to five and then you fall asleep and miss the end. Frell.
4. The Williamses will continue to win Wimbledons till the end of time.
5. In Japan it's called karaoke, but in the US we call it Singelodean!
