Today marked a milestone. I got Parker to sleep on his own today for a nap. No nursing, no rocking, no screaming.
I knew he was tired but he was fighting it valiantly, so I put him in his crib, and pulled the crib over to the bed. I lay down next to him and try coaxing him to sleep using the Peaceful Planet Aquarium and tons of patience. Lots of touching and cooing and binky rescuing, but no picking up, nursing, real talking. Sure, it took a long, long time. Almost an hour. But .... he went to sleep ON HIS OWN!!!!
NO CRYING!!!
NO NURSING!!!
NO DADDY!!!! Oh, there is finally justice!!
