Parker is sick and I feel awful about it because he wasn't sick when I took him to playgroup on Tuesday, but while there he developed a runny nose. I pray that he didn't pass it on to any of the other babies. The host's son, Braden, has his birthday party this weekend ... PLEEEEEEEZE don't get sick beforehand!!!
Last night was awful. Tuesday night/Wednesday morning, Parker nursed all night long. The Wednesday he nursed all day long. I was a bit sore and very touched out by the end of the day. Well, he went to sleep and we put him in his crib, and within 30 minutes he was up again. Jeff tried to get him back to sleep, but he wouldn't hear of it, so I finally let him come and nurse again. Well, by 2:30, I hadn't slept well and I told Jeff he needs to take over. So from 2:30 to 3:30, Jeff tried to get him back to sleep to no avail. He just screamed like a banshee. I finally got up at 3:30, and the two of us tried everything to get him back to sleep. By this point, though, he was rather wired. We watched Baby Bach. Jeff fell asleep, I nursed Parker afterwards. Still no sleep. So, Jeff took him back to the bedroom and tried the crib trick where parent lays in bed next to crib and tries to convince Parker to fall asleep. Didn't work. At 5 am, I nurse him back to sleep.
We all slept through alarms (Jeff's was set for 6 am ... 3.5 total hours of sleep should have done him, right??), and finally got up at 8:30. Parker was miserable yet again. He is now medicated and resting. I'm so not good at handling sick.------------------------------------------------
