Wordplay Gone Wrong
Yesterday I was as offensive as I could have been. Last week Dawn and I were commenting on how different words are appropriated in the English language and their meanings changed. We were determined to come up with our own words from now on. Dawn suggested one to replace the word gay or another variation thereof of that word.

So on Monday, we decided to present our word to our friend Micheal, apparently since I decided to leave my brain at home. Our presentation was awkward, forced, and essentially came off as if we were creating a new derogatory slur against gays. I tried to rectify the situation by coming up with a new definition on the fly, only to make matters worse. Micheal shrugged it off, but I do realize that we offended him deeply, which was not my intent in any way. I feel like such a heel.
