Kornbluth was Right
As marine biologist Walter Kornbluth said in Splash "What a week I'm having!
Tuesday - Pulled into UF parking garage, ran over glass, and got two flat tires. Sets us back 130 bucks and makes me two hours late to work.
Wednesday - No running water in Newberry all morning. Given that in the morning I look like a George Romero extra prior to bathing, this makes me three hours late to work.
Thursday - Mysterious no-start-engine-problem-that-baffles-mechanics haunts LHS again, and Kristin and Parker is stranded (luckily) at a friends' house for two hours while I go to collect them.
Friday - Kristin and Parker come to the Homecoming parade, get stuck in traffic, and go to another locale to watch it, leaving me at the parking garage waiting for 2 hours with nothing but a handful of fig newtons and a soggy, warm ham sandwich.
Meanwhile, the whole work week has been dominated by a project with dozens of little idiosyncracies and errors, and my freelance work has been dominated by two large projects in which the buyers have yet to really communicate with me or provide the retainer fee, let alone agree to the contract. Susan says this is what happens when Mercury is in retrograde. To me, it seems Mercury has gone so far into reverse in must've crashed into the sun.
