On Pediatricians and Child-Rearing
Ditto to Kristin's comments about our pediatrician. I understand he has a responsibility to inform parents about how to raise their children if they don't seem to have a clue, but if the parents (or, in this case, Kristin) have read up on a subject and are knowledgeable, why fight them on it if it isn't detrimental to the child's health. That's social engineering to your world-view, buddy, and we don't take kindly to that in these parts.
That being said, I saw the same crash test videos that Kristin saw, and if there was any way possible, I'd travel rear-facing too.
