Running the Gauntlet
Getting to work this morning was a bear. There were three accidents on the road from Newberry to Gainesville in a two mile span. The middle accident was a spectacular four car pile-up that required Gainesville-bound traffic to cross a not-guite-finished turn lane into the newly paved side of the constructiona area to bypass the collision site. Needless to say, this made me late(r) to work, and made it impossible to find a parking space on campus. Once again, I elected to park in the quasi-parking lot six blocks from campus (one day soon it will be apartment buildings, but for now its the only non-towing lot within ten blocks of campus). What is the purpose of buying a decal if there are never any spaces?
