Okay, yes, it has been a super long time. I wish I could even begin to explain why. There are so many things, I'm not even sure where to start!!
First off, Parker is much better. He never got dehydrated or even diarrhea, but threw up a LOT. Thank goodness for nursing, because it was one of the few things that kept him going. As soon as he was able to eat, he was chowing down on everything. I've never seen such a voracious appetite on this boy! I will say that this illness has obviously sparked a growth spurt or SOMETHING!! Unfortunately, he has since devloped some kind of rash. It isn't bothering him or anything, but I find it annoying. The earliest we could see a doctor is this Monday. I hope it is gone by then, though.
So, I have finally talked to my professor, Dr.Vierck, and he knows I will not be pursuing my doctorate anymore. I am very relieved. He has suggested I talk to the graduate coodinator to see if I've completed enough to be awarded a terminal Master's degree, so I guess I'll do that. I have learned so very much working for him. I've learned about science, medicine, higher learning, leading, and most importantly, about myself. I am grateful for all that he's done for me over the years. But I am very relieved on all sorts of levels that it is over.
I know there is more, but it'll have to be a later entry. I've got chocolate chip cookies and milk calling ...
