Parker has been extremely sick since Thursday night. He's apparently caught the stomach virus that has previously infected half of our playgroup. Parker is the fifth out of eight to catch it. I think the helplessness of the situation is the worst, since for most of the time he's been vomiting all we've given him. I am so grateful now that I have nursed him and he's kept it all down for the 90 minutes it takes breastmilk to completely digest. I cannot describe how wonderful it feels to know he finally has sustenance in his body after 40-plus hours. We have given him Pedialyte as well, and I think the worst part of this entire thing is not knowing exactly what the best course of action would be. I guess this is part of the learning process of being a parent.
