Gimme Shelter
Well, a wind storm this weekend demolished our lawn awning Friday night. The wind lifted it clean into the air, and on impact the four legs, bent the frame in about a dozen places, and sheared apart in two others. The awning fabric, of course, also tore apart.

All in all, this thing was really crappy, as within three weeks of erecting it is began to rust. The edges of the fabric did not release the water accumulating on the top, so it mildewed. And when the water did overflow, I had it to close to the back of the house and furthered the deterioration of the frame of our French doors. Oh well, it was a good idea in the beginning. I guess we'll use a table umbrella instead.

As for the awning - I'll be writing a letter to the manufacturer. And, I'll be installing a few slightly rusted trellis' in Kristin's future garden area :)
