Goodbye Lisa
So they kicked off Lisa on Idol last night. Cruelly. Without letting her sing. "Her's your second chance to be on the final 12, your voice is almost like Kelly Clarkson's, your one of the best singers...by the way, did we mention you won't get to sing tonight and you're going home right now?"
She was robbed in Week 2 of the show, and robbed again last night. Because of her image. To them, a size 6= plus girl is simply to big to be an idol. Reuben can big as big as a car, but that's okay, because it makes him lovable. It just makes Lisa fat.
IMHO, anyone that wins AI can be molded by the record company into what tyhey want to sell records. I saw how they changed Kelly Clark. Clay Aiken. Kimberly Locke. I've seen Extreme Makeover. They can make anyone a star. Why they are not concentrating on actual vocal talent, and instead on appearance, is completely baffling. I'm truly considering not watching anymore. The only judge I think has common sense anymore is Simon, and even he based his opinion on her based on physical appearance.
BTW, you need to check out Kim Locke's new single. She has an album due out next month, and has been getting a ton of exposure on Country Music Television, of all places.
