The Decoy Hubcap
Spent two hours trying to change a tire this morning on the van, to finally discover the lugnuts on the hubcap are not the real lugnuts, but clever forgeries that are super-glued to the hubcap. The real lugs are underneath and require you to pry the hubcap off. These instructions are cleverly hidden in an appendix in the owners manual, and not displayed on either the jacks instructions or the pictorial diagram on the inside of the wheel well. Just another example that one should read all instructions completely before doing any task.
