Oh-my-goodness-oh-my-goodness!!! I was just outside with Jeff and Parker, and we were gonna water the potted amarylis and the tree, so I grabbed Parker's little yellow bucket and take it over the the water faucet, you know, the one that shoots water out at a 45-degree angle, and as the water gets about 1/5th full I look in and there is this ABSOLUTELY ENORMOUS SPIDER in there and I freak and I scream in only half-a-scream because I still don't have all of my voice and I jump back like 5 straight feet and Jeff is holding Parker because Parker was bitten by ants and he asks me what is wrong but I can't answer because I am totally freaked out that my hands were less than 2 feet or possibly 1 foot from this enormous spider which is now floating the the bucket of almost half-filled water and so Jeff tells me to take Parker but I'm kinda frozen until he says it again but more forcefully and then I do and then he takes the bucket and runs around the corner of the house and I go and turn off the water and -- BREATHE!!!!!!

I am not gonna handle it AT ALL if Parker is a typical boy and wants to examine spiders or whatnot. I am going to be a complete basket case and need serious mood-altering drugs ... soon. It was HUGE ... like the size of my hand huge. And I just don't want to go outside my house now. It was RIGHT OUTSIDE MY FRONT DOOR!!! I'm so totally freaked. And then Parker also got totally attacked by ants in the 1 minute he was outside with Jeff before me. Jeff and Parker went to go buy some ant killer. Parker's legs have been sprayed by Bactine. But nothing has been done for my nerves. Makes me wish I were a drinker right now, and that we had some alcohol in the house.
