Paying It Forward
Just signed the papers to refinance our home!!
I'm pretty excited, as we are now free of the FHA restrictions, no longer owing PMI, and have cut 10 years off of the life of our loan (went from a 30 to 15 year, after 5 years in)!! The only scary thing is that we are now responsible for our home owner's insurance and property taxes ... our bank doesn't do escrow like the last lender. Still, it really does feel like progress. Now to see how much money we get in the difference, and the refunds of our escrow AND HUD/FHA downpayment.
