Wednesday, September 29, 2004 Kerry not so Very Has Kerry given up in winning Florida’s electoral votes? Today I heard a sound bite from him attacking Bush’s trip to Florida: “While he’s clearing up brush, America is losing jobs. He should be out there fixing a problem.” While Florida’s ill luck might not have a national importance, the millions of Floridians who have been affected by four hurricanes in about a month do see the recovery of their lives as a problem. While scoring points in Minnesota and Ohio, Kerry might alienate a large voting block in Florida. Not that that might matter. According to Jimmy Carter, we are a banana republic that can’t possibly hold a valid election anyways. ------------------------------------------------
