Finally! Swamp Dogg on Itunes
According to the new internet economic model, obscure music and entertainment can revitalize all entertainment industries. As the cost of retail space becomes irrelevant, the amount of revenue available in the Long Tail, that merchandise which before was deemed unprofitable due to smaller sales, becomes the most important merchandise in the market. Research shows that if you take the bottom 80% of the market, be it books, or cds, or movies, the revenue made from the sale of all these items combined is about twice as much as that of the top 20%, which were considered the bestsellers. Netflix and Amazon show that the mainstream can be directed to the smaller sales items through recommendations, and the markets can double or even triple in sales.
