Tuesday, November 23, 2004 Jeff and I are weighing options Sadly, one of the ones we are considering are to do everything they ask of us, regardless of whether it is needed or not, and totally against my desires for this pregnancy, and hold our refusal for the repeat scheduling that I expect to be forthcoming. Hopefully that one would be close enough to the end that he couldn't drop us. But I do NOT want a 3rd ultrasound just to check weights. I do NOT want to take NSTs (which I'm sure will be asked for). I do NOT want to set a "labor by" deadline where if I am not in labor by then, I'll be sectioned. And, I do NOT want to be treated like I have GD when I don't!! And all that is before labor!! I don't want a lot of those things, but the option we are considering there is to not go in until I'm ready to push -- unfortunately, the hospital is about 20 minutes away. Another option is to find a homebirth midwife, either here, or near my parents. But, considering the current climate for VBAC, it will be virtually impossible to find them, AND the cost is large. The final option, which I'm leaning towards in my current state, is to forget I'm pregnant, and just stay home until I realize there's a head coming out of me. Just kidding. ------------------------------------------------
