She drives me crazy! Like noone else ...
I don't know -- sometimes I feel like I'm at the end of my wits, but not with Parker, only Kira.
First off, she's been having some latching issues, or maybe not -- she'll latch on, nurse for a few minutes, pull off and need burping, and then won't latch back on!! It is SO frustrating!! I mean, there is a nipple, I've even expressed milk and she'll lick it off, but will NOT re-latch! Her poops are fine, not green or anything, and she's going PLENTY (I mean, we used like 10 diapers today already ), so maybe it is just that she doesn't even want to nurse, but then why will she take it the first few minutes?
Second, she was up almost solidly from 11:30 am today, after not sleeping a 5 to 6 hour stretch last night -- VERY frustrating. She wants to suck and will almost fall asleep, and then wake back up for no reason! We aren't using a pacifier yet because of my nipple issues, so she has to have a finger to suck on. She has just FINALLY gone to sleep here at 5:15 pm when Jeff and Parker left, and I just put her in the swing and said she's gonna have to cry for a little while. It didn't take long, but just hearing that cry made me feel inadequate.
Third, I thought I had all of this down pat! Why does it feel like I just can't do anything right -- like I know how to do things, but they just aren't working? ARRRRGH!! I am truly terrified of Jeff not being here next Tuesday.
