Today:
*Kira followed her previously normal pattern. It was actually quite lovely. She was a joy today.

*Parker was pretty darn good too, although he got himself stuck at the footrailings of our bed, which sent me into panic mode, as we couldn't get him out and one of the wrough-iron leaves was poking into his belly. After we got him out I held him and cried. I was so scared! I wanted to call the nurse to see if we needed to bring him in for a belly scan, but Jeff said I was overreacting. I looked up online to see if there was any advice but there wasn't any. Parker seems fine and his belly doesn't hurt, but I'm still fretting. I know this (my reaction) is directly related to the head wound and stitches, but still.

*I made crockpot pot roast, and it was ready when Jeff got home. I used up carrots and potatoes that I might normally have thrown away, but since I had something to use them in, they didn't go bad in my fridge/pantry. But, I didn't think it tasted all that great -- the meat was bland. My mom always made better. I am a horrible cook.

*I miss feeling like I have a "purpose" when I get up. I have no job, no place I have to be, just to meet Parker's and Kira's needs. I feel like a slave, sometimes. I felt very joyful doing it today, but reflecting on it right now, and thinking about tomorrow -- I'm dreading it.
