24 Hours of Minor Fame
I got a site listed at Web Pages That Suck. I hate to do it to someone, but they have to know that their site needs serious work.
I always thought that the sites listed here might make a fertile ground for possible clients - who better to approach on designing a site than a client who was just showcased for having a poor website? However, In his response email to my submission, Vincent Flanders cautioned approaching inductees to the Daily Sucker. It appears some wily self-promoters submit a site, and when it gets posted, then directly contact the 'target site' to offer to redesign the site. Nefarious. As a consequences, a lot of companies now regard the approaching design company as the party responsible for holding their original site up for public ridicule.
In any case, Vince really liked by final comment:
Never before has so much been asked to display so little.
He went so far as to call it brilliant and said he'll 'use' it in the future. I'm thinking of retaining counsel. If Trump can take "I'm Fired", surely I can retain rights to a shameless Churchill ripoff.
