My great-aunt Kat
Less than a week to live for my great-Aunt Kat. They just found out she has advanced stage lung and liver cancer. She just had heart surgery a few months ago, and apparently they didn't have a clue at that time. She's the youngest of my grandfather's sisters (they are all still living), and she turns 79 this year -- or would have.
I have so many great memories of going over to her house when I was visiting my grandparents for the summer and doing all sorts of craft projects. She is the woman who really got me to love doing crafty things. She called me after Kira was born, and it was such a great surprise, she was her spunky self, as always. I am really sad about it.
