Four is the New Two
As is parenting had enough problems today,San Francisco magazine reports that having three of more children is now seen as a status symbol of the upper middle class in the Bay area. States one mother:
"When former career women become parents, there's this ‘How do I superachieve, how do I get my ya-yas in another realm?' They put it all into having kids...There's something impressive about being fecund, about starting a clan."
Fantastic. Having children not because they love children, but because it is a way to prove their ability to achieve. I'm duly impressed.
