No Sleep for the Weary
Perhaps we should have gone to bed earlier. But how were we to know that BOTH kids would be restless? I went to bed at about 1(?)am, when Kira woke up for the SECOND time, and laid in the bed with her. About 30 minutes to an hour later, Parker comes to our bed. That is quite unusual. Of course, so is his going to sleep at 7:45 pm. Well, Parker did not settle for well over an hour, maybe 90 minutes. Then Kira woke back up. I was ping-ponged until about 3:30 am, when I got out of the bed and went to lay in Parker's bed -- I was exhausted! Well, Parker then got up and told Jeff he was hungry. Then Kira woke up AGAIN. So, I went and got back in bed with Kira at about 4 am, and slept until 8. And she woke up several times during that, too.
Why is it that I can still vividly remember my college days of sleeping in until noon??
