Wednesday, September 14, 2005 Put a Tiger In Your Tank Biodiesel is being touted as one of the promising alternative energy sources for oil. I had heard of biodiesel from trash, from grass clippings, used tires, and the like, but had never really considered this one grisly option: Animal Carcasses. Think of all the animals euthanized every year at ASPCA shelters. The number of animals killed in meat packing facilities around the world. Then think that all of that byproduct could be used to create energy rather than simply being burned or buried. What about one step further? What about people... ![]() I don't think we'd ever go that far (unless there were no alternative, and then we're talking Mad Max anyway. But,as Kristin did point out to me when I first recoiled at the thought, "Where do you think the oil came from in the first place"? ------------------------------------------------
