My spirit is broken
I am sitting here crying because my child won't sleep

I am really, really feeling hopeless about it, and I am wanting a looong vacation.

This has to end, but I don't know how to get her to nap.

Almost 14 months old is simply too youngto not be napping.

Someone -- ANYone -- tell me what to do. Please.

She may sleep in the car -- but Parker won't. And wherever we go, he'll want to get out. And he won't allow us to just drive around (read: he'll cry and scream and wake her up). And they are both STILL sick with snotty noses and coughs. And it is raining. And, she'll take about 10 minutes to fall asleep -- about 10 minutes after that, Parker will be itching to get out.

I can get her to fall asleep (by nursing her), but I can't get her to stay asleep.

Baths are an idea, but they always just use them to play, and she screams when I take her out. Every time.

My friends are all having playgroup (today is playgroup day for Parker -- but we're sick) or have kids who they don't want to get sick (go figure). Virtually all of my neighbors work, except for the older lady across the way, who is out of town this week, AND had open heart surgery not that long ago. It is raining. She is also going through separation anxiety -- great timing, no???
